PitP - The Review!

wooow... Party In The Park!... hehe, this review of the concert part is probably mostly gonna be pictures, cos SO much happened!... as it was like, a 4hr 30mins concert n stuff, hehe... lets take it from the very start of the day, when I woke up!...

well, we (me and Chris) woke up at 6:30, and was very tired!... got ready... packed the food... etc... and left the house about 7:10, so we could get to the front, hehe... there was another man at the bus stop, crazy person, why he wake up that early!... anywho, we went to Spar to get another drink, cos we only had 1 for the day... then went back to the bus stop... and the man had gone, n we thought we had missed the bus!... but we didn't, it came at about 7:20, he was just a crazy man standing at a bus stop for no reason... hehe... we was the only ones on the bus untill Dudley... where to bus driver decided he would wait for 7 minutes...

anywho... we got into Birmingham at about 8:10... then Chris had to go to the shop to get some change for the bus... he bought some cookies... and we went to the bus stop for the bus to Cannon Hill Park!... it was the number 1, hehe... it came about 8:32... and we got off 10 minutes after!... then we took a walk up to the entrance, got to the car park, I wasn't sure if we went in that way, so dragged Chris to the other entrance, where I went in last year... and we got in the queue at like, 8:50!...

there was already at least 100 people there already, but still... most were standing, but some were sitting... I asked Chris if we could sit, he was like, no... we stood around... it was boring... I asked Chris if we could sit, he said ok... so we sat... I starting playing Solitaire on my iPod, then the programme people came round, so I bought one, it was only 80p!... and was crap... it was just a crap lil booklet that told u stuff about the artists, and a newspaper with a lil bit about PitP, in a bag... but still, it was slightly entertaining for all of 2 minutes!... then I wanted to do the crosswords... but we didn't have a pen... and Chris wanted to do them too, so he went to the shop while I kept his place...

then at about 10:15, everyone started running to the gates for some reason!... so I followed, while texting Chris to tell him to hurry up, cos I thought they was letting us in early... but no... they wasn't... but Chris now had a pen, which cost him a whole £1... but everyone was very close together, so we couldn't do the crosswords anyways...

people were constantly blowing whistles most of the morning, and it was really starting to make my head hurt!... so I was moaning about that... whilst moaning about being bored, hehe... Chris was moaning about being bored, but was laughing at the whistles, and encouraging them... and there was this snobby girl in front of us, who was also moaning about the whistle, one was highly amused by this... hehe!

then was a lot of standing... and standing... and a lil bit more standing...

untill!... about 11:30, when they decided the finally let us in!... (this was 30mins before the gates were supposed to open)... so we slowly got in... they checked my bag... and we walked fast to the stage, which was different from last year, cos the stage was actually on the lake... and the fence thing was far from the stage anyways... but we still got the best place you could get, right by the fence thing... yay...

Natalie Imbruglia was on stage at the time, doing her sound check... she seems like such a nice person!... she sung all of the songs she was going to sing later on... and it was cool, cos it meant we got to see her twice!... she is very good... and very fit!... hehe!... we stood there watching her, untill she went off about 12:05...

then they put music videos on the screen thingys, so I was watching them, and singing... hehe... we had Maroon 5, Natasha Bedingfield, Joss Stone, Will Young, McFly!, Lemar, Girls Aloud, and other stuff which I can't remember... then Chris had to go the toilet, but there was loads of people there, and I was scared, cos as soon as he moved, someone was gonna steal his space... but I kind of spreaded across... and the woman who was next to Chris overheard, and said she would spread over a bit too... thank you woman!... so he went peepee...

then he came back with Ice Creams!... I offered to give the money for them, but he was like, nooo... and it was very nice!... cos it was really hot... then we stood there, watching the TVs...

then at about 1:40, I got a phone call... it was a withheld number, so I got scared... but answered it anyways... n the person was like "hi, this is *insert name* from BRMB, you entered the competition to sit on the sofa?" and I was like, "yeh", and she was like, "well, you've won" (or something), and I was like, "omg, really!?", and she like, "yeh!... bring a friend to so n so place", n she gave me directions... and I was like, "Chris, we gotta go over there, get the stuff, we're going on the sofa!!!"... n he thought I was kidding, hehe...

but we got there, and could find who phoned me!... so I asked this other woman where I was supposed to go, and she had no idea... but then the person phoned me again, asking where I was, and she notice me, and starting waving, so I had to shout Chris, and we went to her, and she shook our hands, n told us her name, which I can't remember, and took us backstage... and said "do you win much stuff then?"... and I was like, "no!"... and was in so much shock... she took us to this thing, where we had to leave our bags n stuff... and took us the entrance to the stage, and I was like, "am I supposed to have my camera?"... n she said "no!"... and took it off me... then we had to sign this thing to say we would stay sitting down, and stuff... for safety... incase we tripped over wires or singers n stuff...

then we went backstage, and she took a picture of us!...

I don't like it much, but still, hehe... then!... none other than, Texas, walked past us!... I was like, a foot away from Sharleen Spiteri!... they were waiting to go on, cos they was the first act... anywho, it came to 2:00, and this man took us to the sofa, hehe... and here we are...

I am in much shock, hehe... then they said our names!... he was like, "*insert girl 1's name*, *insert girl 2's name*, Martin... Jewkes is that?... I think... and Chris... bow?..."... hehe!... he totally got Chris's second name wrong, it is Baugh, said Boff, not Bow... but still!... I think we may have been on the screens too... and there was like, 30,000 people there!... it was so scary, hehe...

then Texas came on!... the woman took this picture for me... see, the stage is on the lake...

they sung their new single, "Getaway", a piano version of "In Demand", "Summer Son", and "Say What You Want"... hehe... here is another picture...

then Bananarama came on, their backing dancers were awful... they sung their new song, and that one about Venus and a fire... then they went off... they had a lil break, cos Keisha White was running late I'm guessing... then she came on, and sung 2 songs... she was crap... and then Lee Ryan came on, he was quite good to be honest... and he even smiled at us... twice... hehe... the first one to notice us, how shocking... and the woman got a picture of him...

I have no idea who he is with, but he reminds me of Maxwell for some reason... then!... The Faders came on!... I love The Faders... hehe... I waved at them... then about 10 seconds later, Toy waved at us, hehe... she is so fit... and Chris hasn't stopped going on about it since!... they sung "No Sleep Tonight" and "Jump"!... and that was the end of our hour on the stage...

so the bloke came and got us, and as I went through the curtain, I was like a foot away from Nick from Rooster!... he is so hot... and he looked at me, I was gonna say hi, but I was scared and in shock, and I didn't know if I was allowed to... then there was the other guy from Rooster sitting on the table, and I just looked back, and was like, omg, I just walked past Rooster!... how weird!... the woman gave me my camera back, and started to walk us back to the park, then she said, "we just walked past Natasha Bedingfield", we was like, "omg!" and looked back, but we missed her cos she had gone in her dressing room thingy...

then we went back into the park, and Ben Adams was on... found a decent place to stand... and I took this picture!...

it is Ben Adams, hehe... not that you can tell from that... but still... he sung "Get Off My Girl", some slower song, and "Sorry"!... here is another picture...

I phoned my Mom whilst he was on, to tell her what had just happened, hehe... she was meant to be going with us, but decided on Friday, when Kelly Osbourne had to drop out, that she couldn't be bothered...

then Rowetta came on... she was doing a cover of "Stop Crying Your Heart Out", by Oasis... it's for Mr and Mrs Smith or something... she wasn't that good anyways... here is a picture...

while she was on, Chris phoned Sarah, who was also meant to be coming, to tell her what had happened, cos she loves Sharleen Spiteri... I was thinking about how much she would have loved it while she was walking past us... tis a shame she was working!...

then Freefaller came on... they sung "Do This Do That", "Good Enough For You", and a cover of Green Day's "Basketcase"!... which was cool, hehe... here is a picture of them...

the lead singer (yellow shirt) in these is crazy... and when they was about to go off... he jumped in the lake!... hehe...

then Natasha Bedingfield came on!... yay!... she came on, looking very fit!... singing a bit of "Wild Horses", like, with no music... then she properly sung "Single", "These Words" and "Unwritten"!... here she is!...

then we had this crap "Battle Of The Bands" winner... can't remember their name... cos they was really crap... just some random crappy rappy group thing...

then Liberty X came on!... I like Liberty X... they sung "Got To Have Your Love", "Being Nobody" and "Just A Little"... hehe, it was funny when they came on, I thought they had got a new member, cos Michelle was really tanned, n had different hair, I thought they had got rid of her and put a half cast person in... hehe... but that was just at first look, it was actually her... here is a picture!

then, Uniting Nations came on!... I was not expecting it to be just 1 guy... but still!... hehe... they or he... dunno... did "Out Of Touch" and "You & Me"... here is a picture of the guy...

then it was Lucie Silvas' turn!... yay!... she has cut her hair since the last time I saw her, hehe... she is there with her sister, and Richard Lobb, and some drummer guy!...

she sung "Breathe In", a different acoustic version of "What You're Made Of", "The Game Is Won", and "Don't Look Back"!...

then Rooster finally came on... hehe... they are very good... the guy in the grey shirt was the other one I saw backstage... and Nick is the one with th checked shirt for all you's who don't know Rooster...

they sung "You're So Right For Me", "Staring At The Sun", "Deep and Meaningless", and "Come Get Some"!...

then Craig David came on, who was mostly boring, but still!... he sung what I think is his new song, "Seven Days", "Rise & Fall", and the only one I liked, "Fill Me In"... here is a picture of him!

then Natalie Imbruglia came on!... yay!... she was even cooler the second time round... hehe... she did "Shiver", "Counting Down The Days", "Torn" (yay), and "Big Mistake"... and was very good... here is a picture...

while they was getting the stage ready for the next act, this guy with a Bo Selecta! Craig David mask on came on stage, hehe... you could tell it wasn't Avid, but it was still a teensy bit funny...

then last but not least... was Daniel Bedingfield... who was actually really good... considering it's Daniel Bedingfield, hehe... he was doing this stupid beat box thing inbetween songs, while the person tuned the guitar thing... which were quite impressive, but still, hehe... he sung "Wrap My Words Around You", "If You're Not The One", "Show Me The Real You", and "Gotta Get Through This"... here is a pic!

and another!

and then he went... and then it was the end... it finished about 6:30... but it was meant to finish at 6:00, hehe... and overall, it was very cool!...

then we went to get a drink... and made our way out of the park... and then used a portaloo thingy that smelt really bad... then went to catch the bus... there was so many people waiting at the bus stop!... but we was smart, and carried on up the road to the stop before everyone else got on, hehe... so we got a seat... then we got into Birmingham, and our bus home came straight away!... then something happened on the bus, which I cannot discuss for illegality reasons, or something... hehe... then we got to my house, listened to The Faders... Chris got his stuff ready... he went to catch the bus... I played on my brother's rollerskates for a bit... then watched BB... and came on here to look at my pictures... went on MSN... then went to sleep!...

SO... overall... a very good day!... hehe!

that is all!
