Lucie Silvas! - The Review!

OMG!... I saw Lucie Silvas last night!... she was amazingly cool... I loves her muchly... here is what happened, from what I remember, hehe...

well, I met the person I was going with, Dave, at 4:00 for some reason, we went to town, then we went back to my house to listen to Lucie's album before the concert... and we left at 6:30 to go catch the bus to Wolverhampton, where Lucie was, hehe... the bus came about 6:35... and got us into town about 6:45... we then walked to the Wulfrun Hall, got there about 6:50, and was standing in the queue for like 10 minutes before they opened the doors...

anywho, we got in there about 7:05... hehe... n as soon as we got in there we was given this free cool case thing to put our Lucie Silvas singles in, n asked to sign up to her mailing list, but I'm already on it... so Dave signed up... hehe... we weren't allowed to go to our seats yet, because Lucie was running a lil late, n was still doing sound check... she was allowed to be late, cos it was her first every concert... hehe...

then we had a look at the merchandise... there wasn't very much of it... just a Men's long sleeve shirt, which was nice, but £25, ladies t-shirt, £20, ladies vest, £18, Lucie Silvas bag, £15, 2 posters, £5 each, n another 2 posters, the same, but signed by her, for £10 each!... there wasn't any signed posters there tho, cos she hadn't signed any yet... so I never bought anything, but I did get this free card thing with a picture of her on... hehe...

I then remember that I needed the toilet lots, so I went an asked this weird lady who worked there where the toilets were, n she pointed me to them... I went, n peed!... then I came out, and admired the amazingly cool lighty up wall, and asked Dave if I could have one for my birthday, but he said no... then I thought, hmm, I wanna buy something...

so I went to see if the signed posters were out yet... they weren't... so I asked the lady if I could reserve one, and she wrote my name on this card, but the man had already gone to get Lucie to sign the posters, so I she told me to wait by the stand thing so I could get it when they arrived... so I waited... then they opened to doors!... so I was looking at the stage, which was cool... n then the posters came!... I got the Game Is Won one, because the Breathe In one was dark green, so you couldn't see the autograph so well on it... the poster is now on the back of my door!... hehe...

then we went to find our seats (this was about 7:30)!... mine was Row A, seat 16... Dave was in seat 17... then I said, wow, I can't believe we're at the front, and I may have said it a couple more times, but I was amazed, and it was really cool... I was expecting the seats to be center, but they were at the left hand side... but they were still jus as cool, cos the piano was right in front of me, hehe...

we sat around for a bit, then decided to go buy a drink, I had half a pint of coke, and a packet of tic-tacs... it came to £1.40... I was amazed, cos I got a fiver out incase it came to loads... hehe... Dave had a J2O, and a packet of nuts... we went and sat down again...

then Dave dropped a nut on the floor, and we laughed, cos he dropped a nut, erm, not sure why it was funny... then I said something about what would Lucie do if I shaked my tic-tacs at her, we laughed again... honestly, I don't know why we were laughing... doesn't sound funny in the slightest now...

anywho... we sat around till 8:00 or summat till the support came on, his name was Richard Lobb, I didn't take a picture of him, cos my battery was low on the cam, n I wanted to save the battery for Lucie... but I'm sure u can see him behind Lucie in the pics I took, cos I found out he was Lucie's guitar player person!... amazing... anywho, he was pretty good, and he weren't bad looking either... oh, he did have this psyco drummer who was hilarious... he had massive hair, a beard, like a hobo, and couldn't stop moving his head when he was playing the drums... SO funny...

he went off around 8:30, and said he'd see us in about half an hour, with Lucie, hehe... we had a lil break, I went peepee again... Dave then went peepee too, but came back with another J2O and a packet of McCoys... then we sat... n sat... n sat... n sat a lil more... till aprox 9:01 when Lucie's band started playing!

they all came on one at a time, all the guys came on first, then this girl, I think Lucie said it was her sister, came on, n I thought it was Lucie, n was like, omg, she's ugly in real life!... but t'was ok, she went over to her instruments... and then Lucie came on!!... n I was like :-O... n it was cool... n stuff... n she sung Don't Look Back... tis a cool song, hehe... here is a picture!

see how close I was!... the camera wasn't even zoomed in at all!... I even had to get rid of the red eye on it... anywho, she is really good live... oh, then this psyco lady ran up to the stage, but Lucie was nice about it, n just kinda held her hand, n the woman went back to her seat... she then thanked everyone for coming, and sung Build Your World Around... and I took another picture... it went blurry, but I'll show ya anyways...

she then went over to the piano, had a drink, and asked everyone to sing along with her next song, What You're Made Of... I love that song... I sung along with her, even though I had been for the other songs too, hehe... and took another picture!...

btw, I'll make a list of songs at the end that she sung, and mention bits about the ones I remember, cos I know what she sung, just not the order... :-)... here is another picture from What You're Made Of... tis my favouritest pic that I got...

she then told us how happy she was to be there, and glad that we came, and thank you, and stuff... cos it was her first ever concert on her own, n she said it felt really good... and then she sung a song that was released in 2000, called It's Too Late, which she had dreamed of singing for ages or something, n it was special to her, n stuff... here is a pic...

that was the last picture I got, because the stupid camera died... but I did get a short video before it died... I can't put it on here though... don't think it was that good, but I can't get to it to find out...

anywho... I think she then sung Breathe In... which she got us all to stand up for... I wanted to stand up for the whole of it, but everyone else was sitting, damn them... oh yeh, that psyco woman came down to the stage again, and started dancing like a retard!... her friends had to drag her back to her seat, lol... but yeh, that song was cool, everyone was clappin n singin n gettin into it, hehe...

I'm just going to guess what she sung now, I think it was No Defence... which was really nice... tis a really nice, slow song... then she sung my favouritest song, Nothing Else Matters... I love that song... she missed like a whole verse for some reason, prolly out of breath, or concentrating on playing the piano... I dunno, it was still good anyways... :-D... I recorded a minute of it on my phone, but it didn't work so well... cos I was pretty much right in front of the massive speaker...

I think she then sung Without You... she dedicated it to her friends, aww... then she sung a song I hadn't heard before... it may possibly be the b-side on her new single... she didn't say though... it was really cool anyways... :-)

then she sung Twisting The Chain, which was the best song of the show, in my opinion... the whole band n her singing n the audience joining in, n everything, was just great... she did it really really well... n I love that song loads anyways...

then she sung Last Man Standing, and said something about her friends again... oh, and the psyco woman came up to the stage again, n got a hug off Richard Lobb... and when she finished that, she introduced all her band, there was 5 of them I think... and she said the next song was the last of the set... I was like :-O... nooo, u've only been on for an hour!... then she sung her next single, The Game Is Won... and went off stage... but her badn stayed on and played for a bit, then went off... the lights didn't turn on tho, yay...

then she came back on again!... hehe... and was like, well, I've got one more song for u... :-D... n she sung Forget Me Not, which is also a really nice song, n she sung it really well... then I thought she was gonna go again!... but she didn't!... her band came back on, and she said, I've got another song for u!... n I was like, yay!... hehe...

she sung The Longer We're Apart... which was cool... and we all got to stand up again... hehe... I wish I could have stood up all the way through, I had an even better, closer view of her!... but still... it was still amazingly cool... she finished that song, and it was actually the end this time... and she went off at 10:17... overall, it was a really really good concert... :-D

then the lights came on... and I thought, wow, that was amazing... and hmm, I wonder if they have Richard Lobb's EP at the merchandise stand now... n I said, if it is £5 or less, I'm gonna buy it!... so, we got to the merchandise thing, and it was £6!... so I thought pfft, I ain't buyin it for that much... and we went outside, n I wanted to wait by Lucie's tour bus for a lil bit, to see if she came out the back door, like other people were... just for half an hour... but Dave wudn't let me... even though it was 40mins till the bus... :-(... so we went for the bus, Wolverhampton was crazy, loads of people were drunk, and I was scared... we had to wait ages for the bus, it came at 11:03 or summat, and I got home around 11:15... then went on MSN, chatted to Jon n Martin, went about 12:30, put my poster up... and went to sleep!

that is all!... bYe!
